Mold Test Start

I started my mold test for an upcoming project.   While I was working on my jackalope and cat shrine, the wet clay started to grow a turquoise/green mold.  My idea for this upcoming wet clay project is to create another altar/shrine or deceased animal with new colorful growth stretching up from the clay.

I used strawberries, vinegar, bread crumbs, and yeast.  I'm hoping that the colors of mold will very.  This test board is currently covered with black plastic in a moldy, damp and dark part of our basement.
In the future the strawberries will be shredded into smaller pieces.

My verb for this project is "decay".   My goal is to remind people that life emerges from death always, and in a way there is a peace and beauty through this transfer of energy.

+ This is going to be a fun science project for the kids.
