So the baby spiders are slowly, but surely, coming along. I now have all the lambs' wool I need to complete the egg sack. About 60 - 70 spiders are done now, and to be honest with myself... I think I'm going to need double that. They are happening faster as I figured out the rhythm. Between tonight and class time tomorrow, I feel I'll hit my goal.
Really can't wait to paint details on them and add legs.
These photos are from the very very beginning of my doll-head-base idea. I have three doll heads (not this one pictured) from when my Nanny was a baby. They are close to destroyed so I wanted to find a way to display them safely and creatively. I am making jack rabbit bodies in various poses to use as stands for the heads to rest on. I will also be crafting bunny ears from real rabbit fur for tie-on ears that will be placed on the doll heads.
This body has come a long way from the photo here, and I'm beginning to really love this side project. More photos soon.
