Make Make Make!

I'm in the process of making some corrections to these pieces, but they're on their way!  I have one more day on Ben's portrait.  It's only the 3rd painting I've done and the 1st figure I've painted.   Learning a lot lately.  I am really feeling growing pains both conceptually and  in regards to skill.  I love this pep talk by Ira Glass.   I feel stuck at times when my vision falls short, but I'm going to keep making series after series.  It has to happen, and eventually it will all come together.

This year I will be presenting at the Women and Gender Studies Conference again!   I am trying to get this piece below and two more from this series finished in time to display them as well as my last series (during my research grant).   I'm thinking about applying for another grant this summer, we'll see.

I have 6 classes left to graduate!   2 art histories, 3 studios, and a senior seminar.   I get to take experimental art history this summer, which I'm really excited about.

My painting and printmaking professors have been real mentors to me lately, and I am very grateful to be able to learn some new approaches from them.   This has been a very hectic semester with 3 intensive studio classes, but I'm really happy to be making every day all day.
